QBOID’s approach is to start with a carefully selected and tightly coupled 2D/3D sensor package, then integrate this package to the appropriate mobile platform providing reliable data quality while in use in industrial environments. We invest much effort in an ongoing calibration/characterization process so that our software understands what the sensors performance envelope is, and create most of our unique IP in the software stack to create reliable and usable quality of perception for logistics automation purposes.
A perception technology requires a careful system design balancing many factors, such as the mobile platform system architecture, 3D and 2D sensor properties, system thermal and mechanical stability, and not the least of which is the computer vision software stack which creates the perception and spatial reasoning from the 3D and 2D sensor streams.
